Loan Servicing Specialist

 

Description:

The Loan Servicing Specialist performs a variety of functions in support of the effective management of Seasons loan portfolio. Responsible for performing loan support services including but not limited to assisting members and staff with questions, disbursing insurance funds and quality control of the loan processes. Maintains departmental records and files and records.  Assists or refers members as necessary.

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and send letter of guarantee in regard to motor vehicle claims as requested by insurance carriers.
  • Submit warranty cancellation requests when applicable.
  • Track all insurance claims on spreadsheet and update statuses weekly.  Provide management and collections with updates when necessary.
  • Process auto loan payoff checks received from auto dealers.
  • Submit credit life, credit disability and GAP claims as needed.
  • Perform quality control on new credit card accounts and mail disclosures needed in a timely fashion.
  • Perform quality control on new automotive and unsecured loans.
  • Monitor denial cue in Keyinsight and mail adverse action notices in a timely fashion.
  • Serves as internal point of contact for credit card and first mortgage questions.
  • Review and process paid note report on a weekly basis. Release motor vehicle titles and process mortgage releases.
  • Respond to attorney or financial institution requests for second mortgage payoffs. Create payoff letters and notify appropriate staff of payoff requests.
  • Take second mortgage products out of rescission and perform quality control on new second mortgages.
  • Send new mortgage deeds to be recorded and track statuses.
  • Track and mail escrow payments for all escrow mortgages.
  • Charge off delinquent loans, credit cards and shares.
  • Assists members and staff with various requests, including payment reversals and account research.
  • Keeps supervisor informed of activities and of any significant problems or concerns.
  • Works in compliance with Seasons internal controls

Qualifications and Education:

  • Six months experience working in a financial institution or related position. High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Bachelor’s degree required/preferred
  • Strong ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize based on workflow and urgency
  • Demonstrated proficiency with a variety of software programs and a general ability to be technology savvy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Able to interact effectively with management and staff
